Through its 50-year partnership with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the IAEA works through the Joint FAO/IAEA Division of Nuclear Techniques in Food and Agriculture to support the safe and appropriate use of nuclear technologies in food and agriculture, with the aim of contributing to global food security and sustainable agricultural development.
